We are hoping to get the commentary shows produced soon so that you can use them to re-watch the existing episodes until the season continues.
Episode #9 – A561984
Who is D. Gibbons? Does Mark pull the trigger? What’s with the pylons? We talk about our theories and more on this episode of the Secrets of Flashforward. In this episode, we learn more about Demetri’s suspected killer and we find out about how Lloyd Simcoe sees the world.
This is part one of a two part episode series covering the mid-season finale of Flashforward. We will be recording another episode next week and would love to hear your feedback. Interested in sounding off? Send us an email at feedback@secretsofflashforward.com or call us at 918-919-0456.
Episode #8 – Believe
In Episode #9 of Flashforward, named Believe, the show takes a bit of a turn and spends a lot of time showing the relationship between Bryce and the girl from his flashforward, who we find out is called Keiko.
In our show, we start off with a quick recap of the episode before giving some feedback that we received from a listener in Scotland – that’s right, Scotland! If you would like to share your thoughts with us, send them to feedback@secretsofflashforward.com or leave us a voicemail at 918-919-0456.
In our Analysis portion of the show, we spend some time talking about what is happening to the other characters, especially Mark and Aaron’s relationship, now that Tracy is back.
For our character analysis this week, we decided to talk about Keiko, her flashforward and her perspective on what’s going to happen in her future. At the end of the show, we see her coming to the United States to find Bryce, the mystery man in her flashforward. She certainly wants her future to come true as does Bryce.
Finally, in the predictions, we mention a theory put forth by a listener about where the seventh ring is and wonder about how Tracy fits into the story. She surely has to be more of a character than just someone hiding out at her father’s house.
As a special note, we record our show on the Monday evening after each Thursday’s show, in order to allow our listeners to send us feedback. Want to give us your theories about the latest episode? We’d love to hear from you at feedback@secretsofflashforward.com or by voicemail at 918-919-0456.
Episode #7 – Playing Cards with Coyote
In Episode #8 of Flashforward, named Playing Cards with Coyote, we find out some more information about Simon and Lloyds involvement with the blackouts. Additionally, we find out what happened to Aaron’s daughter, Tracy, and we see who’s behind those people with the three stars on their arm.
In this episode of Secrets of Flashforward, Steve and Nick talk about Simon and Lloyd’s employer, Simon’s “god complex,” and what Tracy saw. They have some good feedback from the listeners and a call in from Chris in Colorado.
Along with analysis, Nick and Steve take a look at the character of Nichole. She had a very disturbing flashforward and it seems that Agent Gough’s death gave her renewed hope that her own flashforward was not going to come true. Listen in to what Nick and Steve have to say about how hope has come back to some people while others are still searching.
So, what are the six rings at the end of the show? Who is the mystery man who picks up the rings? In the predictions part of the show, Steve and Nick talk about their own theories on where the show is going.
As a reminder, we want your feedback! We record the show every Monday evening, to allow our listeners to send us their own feedback about each week’s episode. Interested in letting us know what you think? Leave us a voicemail on our feedback line at 918-919-0456 or email us at feedback@secretsofflashforward.com.
Episode #6 – The Gift
In The Gift, episode #7 of Flashforward, we see the show do a great job of developing the characters. This show is truly the turning point for the plot as we see the characters really wrestle with this issue of whether the flashforwards will come true and whether the future is set in stone. In Secrets of Flashforward, we talk at length about the different characters’ responses to the flashforwards and begin two new segments, one on character analysis and one on where we identify our favorite scene in the show.
To start off the show, we begin with summarizing what happened in the last episode before talking about why we think this show was called “The Gift.” We put forth two theories as to why the name was chosen, one obvious to us and one that we think may not be as apparent.
In our analysis, we have Jeff Young, the Catholic Foodie on the show to talk with us about Renee Descartes and how he sees rationalism affecting the characters on the show. Renee Descartes represents a turning point in modern philosophy where thinkers began to use reason as their sole basis for analysis, and Jeff gives us a perspective about how that philosophy affects the characters in the show.
In our predictions, Nick presents an interesting theory about who and what is behind the blue hand group, while Pat talks about which characters the show will develop in future episodes. Listen in to see if your theory about the blue hand group fits in with Nick’s.
Finally, we finish out the episode with some listener feedback. Want to sound off on our show? We usually record on Monday evenings, so we would love to hear your thoughts and predictions. Feel free to call us at 918-919-0456 before Monday evening to give us your feedback about the show. We’ll be happy to play it as part of our own episode.
Episode #5 – Scary Monsters and Super Creeps
Scary Monsters and Super Creeps, episode #6 of Flashforward, we get more information about Simon and how much he knows about what happened with the flashforward. The show begins with Simon traveling across the United States in a train. He reveals that he knows what caused the flashforwards and uses that knowledge to flirt with a girl, geekily talking about Schroedinger’s cat.
In the show, we talk about Simon’s comments about the cat and question whether the act of viewing the flashforwards changed the future. Is it possible that seeing the flashforwards caused the future to change? Finally, we question what’s behind the blue hand. Based upon some previews that we caught online, there is more to come in the next episode.
Finally, we take a crack at a few predictions for the next show, including looking at Dimitri’s role in being a “walker” and how much Simon and Lloyd know about the pylons. Want to participate in the discussion? Email us at feedback@secretsofflashforward.com or leave us a voicemail at 913-919-0456.
Episode #4 – Gimme Some Truth
In this episode, we talk about the latest Flashforward episode, named “Gimme Some Truth” and truth is certainly what we don’t get. Most of this show takes place in Washington, D.C. and shows many characters having to manipulate others in order to get what they want. We also speculate on whether there are some people who are using their own flashforwards for personal gain.
So, what’s up with those pylons? We want to know and offer our own thoughts and predictions as to what they are and how they have a role in the flashforwards. Along with the pylons, what’s up with the coordinaed attacks at the end of the show? How did the bad guys know where everyone was?
Finally, we have a good amount of feedback for this show. A big thanks to Maria, Zina and Marie for sending in their thoughts. Want to participate in the discussion? Email us at feedback@secretsofflashforward.com or leave us a voicemail at 913-919-0456.
